Wimbledon 2008: Federer vs Nadal

Roger vs Rafa, a matchup that always guarantees quality, intensity and incredible tennis.

Two of tennis' greatest ever competitors battled it out once again on centre court at Wimbledon. 

After a gruelling 4 hours and 48 minutes, Rafael Nadal overcame his fierce rival Roger Federer to win  6–4, 6–4, 6–7(5–7), 6–7(8–10), 9–7 in what many people believe to be the greatest tennis match in Wimbledon history. 

Two titans of the sport, battled all the way to the end, with Nadal racing to a 2 set lead. However, after Federer came back to make it 2-2 in sets after a tie break, Nadal eventually managed to win his third set 9-7. 

Both competitors deserved to win in a game that defined the sport's most iconic rivalry.
