The World’s Strongest Man competition is about more than just force: it is about stamina, skill, tactics, training and strategy. Every event below is designed to push the Strongmen to their absolute limits, challenging not only their physical strength, but their agility and mental toughness too. 45 years ago, the question was asked...who was the World’s Strongest Man? Since then, this championship has been the final word on who is the strongest of them all. From Niece to Nassau, Malta to Morocco, each year athletes would become stronger than the year before. They would be BIGGER, BOLDER, BETTER. They would be better than anything the world has ever seen. Competitors who push their bodies to the limit. Sometimes risking their lives in the process.
The 2022 edition will go down as the greatest ever with world records broken and Tom Stoltman, the 10th strongman to win multiple times, claiming the title. With 30 athletes going head-to-head testing strength by pulling a 18.5-ton bus down a 30-meter course or deadlifting approximately 360kg (795lbs), these athletes bring nothing but their best in their quest for the title as the 2022 SBD World’s Strongest Man.
